Govert Driessen (Arnhem, 1973) is a good guy. Although at times he finds himself busy being imprisoned in Turkish Kurdistan, getting robbed by the St. Petersburg police force, or being arrested in China for cycling the Gobi, he usually hangs his hat in Amsterdam and has been a full time portrait, documentary and stage photographer since 2004.
Clients include cultural institutions such as the Concertgebouw and the Bimhuis, NGOs like PAX (fka IKV/PaxChristi), ChildAtVenture and Tiny Miracles, record labels (ao Criss Cross Jazz), newspapers & magazines, and companies like ABN AMRO, Hogan Lovells, Qbuzz etcetc...
In 2014 Govert teamed up with 'uomo universalis' Floris Tilanus to create and publish a book, containing a selection of photos which clearly shows his fascination for the way people organize their living environment, their habitat. Printed in Amsterdam by Raddraaier; ISBN 9789082285208
