Berry van Galen
As a theater maker, television director and photographer, Berry van Galen is a authentic storyteller. Her work shows moving insights into life. It is often about people's emotional connection to the world around them and how it can change over time. The search for our place in the world is captured in layered images that play with holding and letting go. The form varies from narrative portraits to personal collages of collected and processed images. Berry van Galen won the first prize for up- and-coming talent of the Fotohuis in the highest category; her work was exhibited at the FotoFestival Naarden in 2019.
